A spacer sleeve or distance washer serves as a spacer in mechanical engineering to maintain a predetermined position. Unlike the known washers, spacer sleeves and distance washers are not punched. Spacer sleeves, which are also known as spacer sleeves, have a precise length. Their length tolerance (precision class) is up to +/- 0.01 mm. A spacer sleeve can therefore also be used as a bearing sleeve of rolling bearings.
These metal sleeves and discs are available at MISUMI either unhardened or hardened. Particularly hard discs and sleeves have a high level of wear resistance. Stainless steel sleeves and stainless steel washers are well protected against oxidation in corrosive environments. Spacer sleeves or distance sleeves can be configured with collar (flange). The height of the government is also tolerated and can also be used for maintaining a distance.
Due to the individual configuration of the distance sleeve and spacer washer, they offer nearly an unlimited use in mechanical engineering.
The spacer sleeve or distance washer is suitable for many mechanical engineering applications due to its tolerable height. Compared to the commercially available washer, the distance washer can have a larger bearing surface. The special form as a countersunk washer is well suited for shaft mounting at the shaft end.
The precisely manufactured spacer sleeve is suitable for precisely maintaining a distance between two components. If several sleeves are necessary for this, MISUMI offers simultaneous grinding spacer sleeves. Due to the matched length of the grinding distance sleeves, which are used as a set (min. 2 pieces), a flat surface can be formed. In addition, the simultaneously ground sleeves can reduce play, because the height difference from one another is limited to +/- 5μ.
Alternatively, the metal disc or the metal collar can be suitable as a spring disk in order to serve a pressure spring as a receiver or stopper.
At MISUMI, you can configure the distance washer and distance sleeve to your specifications and order it online. The additionally selectable options extend the design freedom of the metal collars and metal discs.
Metal collars and metal discs in steel, tool steel and stainless steel are available in the MISUMI online shop. Stainless steel sleeves and washers provide good corrosion resistance and can be used in corrosive environments.
Alternatively, MISUMI offers discs and sleeves made of plastic and ceramic as well as thermally insulating materials for special environmental influences.
In addition, MISUMI offers discs and sleeves made of rubber and felt, which can work with diverse properties, e.g., antistatic and vibration damping.
MISUMI sleeves and discs are available uncoated, burnished, nickel-plated, LTBC-coated, anodized and chrome-plated versions to protect metal sleeves and metal washers from corrosion and wear.
