Pneumatic Clamps (página 2)
A pneumatic clamp is a clamp that combines a pneumatic cylinder with a toggle mechanism. Clamps are fixtures that hold down and fix workpieces in place, and can reliably hold workpieces without requiring the use of hands. The use of a toggle mechanism allows them to be tightened with force greater than the applied force, so they are used in a wide range of fields such as the processing and assembly of general machinery including ships and automobiles. Pneumatic clamps, which contain pneumatic cylinders, use air pressure to clamp, and fix in place with the strong force of a toggle mechanism. Pneumatic clamps are available in forms including downward pushing, vertical and horizontal.
