Features according to the material of the pinpoint gate bushing (For reference)
This steel is generally used as the material for pinpoint gate bushings. It is heat-treated and has excellent hardness and wear resistance.In addition, it is tough and can be readily finished to a high degree of accuracy. Because it has been hardened, any alterations must be performed using electric discharging.
·Electroforming (nickel alloy)
This material features a gate internal surface that has a fine-textured mirror finish. It reduces the risk of mold-release failure, enabling the taper angle of the gate to be reduced and also realizing a fine gate that
can be subjected to a high cycle. However, its wear resistance is inferior to that of the SKH51, so use the SKH51 or a cemented carbide product for molding glass-filled resin or hard resin.
·Cemented carbide
This material is extremely hard, and has very high wear resistance. It can reduce the incidence of deformation or enlargement due to wear of the gate hole during mass-production molding,and also trouble caused by such deformation or enlargement. In the case of a long-life die, this material is particularly effective for improving the stability of gate cutting.
